This Putty Tat Fairy House manifested itself through my love for cats.
I want to share the positive energy and healing properties unearthed by natural stones, crystals and copper, while incorporating my conceptual designs, to create products for cat lovers.
This piece captures rays of light that cast a dazzling array of colors and the essence of earthy woodland and forest hues, with looping vines and moss, inspired by nature.
- lot of time, attention-to-detail and a piece of my soul went into creating, quality one-of-a-kind products, inspired by our Putty Tats.
And every purchase goes towards continuing to support my rescue and foster furry babies.
Cat-ception began with…
A paw shaped mold using recycled poster board template, then encased in 7numerous layers of natural stump grindings, saw dust and moss (Ibid). Next, blended with 100% waterproof and temperature resistant foam glue, for a sturdy long lasting foundation.
The walls are made of twigs with diagonal bracing and sprinkled with natural stump grindings, saw dust and moss.
The base of the ceiling was paw formed with either corn husk or jack silver aluminum sheet metal (rust and corrosion resistant), and (Ibid) or coated with bright metallic copper spray paint, then varnished or enamel sealed.
The sky parlor is made of natural bark and woven or knitted copper wire mesh at back wall, with a crystal glass putty tat chandelier.
The structure is then foiled with copper and varying metallic leaf colors and/or metallic acrylic/oil-based paint throughout (Ibid).
The base is supported by 6 copper wire twist knotted strands and loop ends, interlocked with copper wire vine connector links, including 5 crafted rainbow patina copper crystal glass leaves. The links are then gathered and secured into a heavy gauge beautifully crafted spiral hook.
You’ll find seashells sprinkled throughout fishnet battery pouch and front and back trim walls of sky parlor.
I made a twig functional door adorned with beads and windows moss framed; and rainbow-colored elastic cord string pull handle that loops closed around a wire bead latch.
Your Putty Tat fairy house is then adorned with the following…
One of two cats and a mouse were made using Murano lampwork glass motif beads for the face, faceted spherical and octagon shaped crystal glass ball and bead for the body, and copper wire to assemble, including dangling tails and a spiral neck for the cat, and bowtie for the mouse.
The cat bead has cute black whiskers, black eyes closed as it naps, a red nose and 1white/1black ear, which serves as the crystal glass chandelier in the sky parlor.
While, the mouse bead has black ears, nose, eyes and whiskers including beautifully crafted iridescent fairy wings made out of fusible heat bondable fantasy film (in crystal amethyst, enchanted forest or opal fire color).
Also, crafted a spiral cage pendant with stone inside the hanging cat and a charm bead, bird nest with eggs, using natural gemstone round beads and a hanging slice of cheese with natural yellow opal beads, hanging next to the mouse.
Other features include, a crafted cat tree with hanging glass frosted fish bead toy and a wood disc cat, lounging. A nest bowl or resin made dish, sits inside for added stone storage and I added a hanging ceramic toucan bird, keeping a vigilant eye on his/her eggs.
They all have LED fairy lights and some come with remotes to guide the way home; please refer below for specifications
Thank you so much for supporting my rescue and fosters, one product at a time.
