This Putty Tat Fairy House, manifested itself through my love fur cats.
I want to share the paws-itive energy and healing properties unearthed by natural stones, crystals and copper, while incorporating my conceptual designs, to create products for cat lovers.
This piece captures rays of light that cast a dazzling array of colors, along with the essence of earthy woodland and forest hues. From looping vines, to rainbow leaves and moss; this is sure to create a corner of magic in your life.
A lot of time, attention-to-detail and a piece of my soul went into creating, quality one-of-a-kind lasting products, inspired by my passion to help Putty Tats.
And every purchase goes towards continuing to support my rescue and foster furry babies.
Inception starts with…
A paw shaped mold using recycled poster board template, encased in numerous layers of natural stump grindings, saw dust and moss (Ibid). Next, blended with quality foam glue, to amplify while, providing a sturdy long lasting foundation.
The walls are made of natural twigs with diagonal bracing, and most gaps are filled using the same process (Ibid). Inside you’ll have a secured nest bowl or resin made dish for added storage.
Next, the base of the ceiling was paw formed with either corn husk or metal, both (Ibid); metal is coated with bright metallic copper, then varnished or enamel sealed.
I made the Sky Parlor out of natural bark, copper wire-mesh and a beautiful copper wire crafted, crystal glass Putty Tat chandelier; along with seashell wall trimmings and a fishnet pouch for fairy lights battery pak.
The structure is then foiled with vibrant metallic gilding flakes, premium metallic leaf and metallic acrylic and/or oil-based paint throughout, followed by additional layers of preserved moss.
Next, the base is supported by 6 copper wire twist knotted strands and loop ends, interlocked with copper wire vine connector links, including 5 handcrafted rainbow patina crystal glass leaves. The links are then gathered and secured into a heavy gauge beautifully crafted spiral hook.
I made a twig functional door adorned with natural gemstones, with a pull handle that loops closed around a wire stone bead latch, and framed windows.
Your fairy house is then adorned with the following…
A mouse using Murano motif glass spacer bead, octagon crystal glass bead and copper wire, with beautifully crafted iridescent fairy wings, a bowtie and a slice of aged cheese nearby, using yellow opal stone beads.
And a spiral cage pendant with a stone inside, that dangles at the heart of a mini crafted copper wire hanging cat, both with dangling tails.
I also made a bird nest with eggs, using natural gemstone round beads, not far from a toucan, keeping a vigilant eye.
Other features include, a crafted cat tree with hanging glass fish bead toy and a wood disc cat, lounging around.
